Chris Brown

Principal

As the principal of our beloved elementary school for the past 13 years, I am deeply honored to be part of such a wonderful community. Our school is more than just a place of learning; it is a family where every student, teacher, and staff member is valued and supported. I firmly believe that a safe and physically comfortable environment is essential for promoting student learning. Each student is a unique individual with their own physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs, and it is our duty to cater to these needs through a variety of instructional approaches.

Our students’ learning needs are at the heart of every decision we make, and this focus has helped us maintain a proud tradition of excellence. I am grateful for the dedication and hard work of our staff, and the unwavering support of our community, which together create a nurturing and dynamic environment for our students to thrive.

Assistant Principal : K-1st Grades and Special Education

I am honored to join the Grayson Elementary School family as an assistant principal this year. Prior to this role, I served as an administrator in the Grayson Cluster at Trip Elementary, gaining valuable experience in leadership and collaboration. I am thrilled to support our kindergarten and first-grade students, teachers, and families, ensuring a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

I have proudly worked with Gwinnett County Public Schools for 20 years, cultivating a deep passion for education and community. Being part of the Ram Nation is an exciting new chapter, and I am committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all.

On a personal note, my wife, Jennifer, is also an educator and teaches at Harmony Elementary School. Together, we are proud parents of two wonderful high school students. As a family, we value the importance of education and the opportunities it provides for growth and success.

I look forward to partnering with the Grayson community to continue our tradition of excellence and help every child thrive. Go Rams!

Assistant Principal : 2rd-3rd Grades

I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal at Grayson Elementary School, where our faculty, staff, students, and parents truly embody a remarkable community spirit. Each school year, I look forward to supporting our Grayson family in achieving new milestones, fostering growth, and celebrating each accomplishment.

With 25 years of experience as an educator, I began my career in Gwinnett County Public Schools at Corley Elementary School, where I taught third grade, ESOL, and served as a Parent Coordinator for many years. My journey into administration started at Nesbit Elementary School, and I am grateful to now be part of the Grayson Elementary team.

I hold a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Every year, I am continually impressed by the dedication, resilience, and accomplishments demonstrated by our Grayson family. It is a privilege to contribute to the ongoing excellence of our school, and I eagerly anticipate the year ahead!

Assistant Principal : 4th-5th Grades

I have been part of the Grayson Community since I was a middle school student and am proud to be a Grayson High School graduate! I was lucky enough to start my education career here as well. I am overjoyed to continue growing both personally and professionally with this wonderful community and serve as one of the Assistant Principals here at Grayson Elementary School!  Although Grayson has been through several changes throughout the years, it continues to astound me with its sense of community, love, and care for its students and families and I strive to contribute to that every single day.

I graduated with my bachelor's degree in early childhood education with a concentration in ESOL from Georgia State University and eventually returned to my alma mater a few years later and received my master's degree in educational leadership. Outside of school, I really enjoy traveling to different places with my husband (especially internationally), trying different foods, learning about new cultures, looking for new adventures, and spending time with friends and family!

I truly believe that students can do whatever they set their mind to, regardless of their background. From personal experiences, I have seen what amazing things children can achieve when you truly believe in them, challenge them, and support them along the way. I look forward to working with you to ensure your child reaches their full potential and please know that I am here to support their learning and personal growth in any way I can!
